Placing Referrals 'On Hold'

Keep your Requires Review tab clean by placing referrals "on hold" when you need to. Sometimes, a referral may be pending an insurance authorization or other information that means you can't take further action on a referral until you receive the information required to move forward. Previously, this meant leaving the referral on your Requires Review tab indefinitely. Now, you can mark a referral as "On Hold" and tell par8o when to bring the referral back to your Requires Review tab - helping you get to "inbox zero".

When you place a referral on hold, it is removed from everybody's Requires Review tab, but you can still search for the referral to access it if needed. A yellow clock icon will display on the referral to indicate the referral is on hold. You'll also see a new history item on the referral indicating when the referral was placed on hold and why.

Once the hold expires, par8o will send an email to you reminding you that the hold has expired and asking you to review the referral.

Please note that if you place a referral on hold, this does *not* count as a first action on a referral.
