Many health systems and client teams set their own best practices, but across the board, there are a few things we've seen help to make the referral process in par8o go more smoothly!
- Contact patients within 8 hours of receiving a referral. Patients are more likely to schedule an appointment when contacted early!
- Use callback reminders to remind yourself to contact a patient again if you couldn't reach them.
- Before contacting a patient for the second time, check your scheduling system to double-check that the patient has not yet been scheduled.
- Sorting the Work Queue by Urgency or Date Created can help you contact patients with the greatest need the soonest.
- When you log a third failed contact attempt, par8o will ask if you want to decline the referral. Declining a referral will notify the sending office that you were unable to schedule the patient.
