Contacting and Scheduling Patients using Cloudmed

As a receiving office, most of your work in par8o will involve reviewing new referrals, logging patient contact attempts, and recording scheduled appointments. You may also communicate with the sending office via par8o to request additional information about a referral.

  1. In the Work Queue, click the Requires Review tab.

  2. View the patient's contact details:

    • Click View to display all referral details, and then click Contact Patient

      -OR-

    • Click Select Action and then select Contact/Schedule.

  1. Call the patient using the information provided on the Contact and Schedule Referral page.

  2. Choose one of the following:

    • If you were able to schedule an appointment, proceed to step 5.

    • If you were not able to schedule an appointment, proceed to step 6

  1. If you were able to schedule an appointment with the patient:

    1. Click Yes under Were you able to schedule an appointment?

    2. Verify provider and office location information.

    3. Select the date and time of the appointment.

    4. Click Save.

  1. If you were not able to schedule an appointment with the patient:

    1. Click No under Were you able to schedule an appointment?

    2. Choose an option from the Select Call Outcome list.

      • Certain responses will cause par8o to ask if you want to decline the referral. If you choose to decline, the referral will be removed from your Work Queue and sent back to the referring office.

      • Other responses will present options to set a callback reminder and/or send a text to the patient asking the patient to call your office.

    3. Click Save
