Automatic Updates Based on Decline Reason with 'Smart Decline'

When a referral needs to be declined by an office, several decline reasons are available, such as:
  • No available appointment times
  • Patient did not return our calls
  • Patient does not wish to schedule an appointment
  • Provider no longer practices here
  • Provider not accepting new patients
  • Patient's insurance is not accepted by provider at this location
  • Patient's insurance is not accepted for a specific reason (such as specialty, age, procedure, etc.)

par8o "Smart Decline", helps keep provider data accurate, enhances patient-provider match accuracy, and prevents offices from receiving referrals they can't accept.

"Smart Decline" due to Insurance Acceptance

When a staff member selects "Patient's insurance is not accepted by provider at this location", the related insurance is automatically removed from the provider's accepted insurances list.
Upon decline for this specific reason, an email confirmation is sent to the office manager(s) as a safeguard against an inaccurate decline reason selection.
If a change was made in error, office admins can always add the insurance back to the profile.

"Smart Decline" due to New Patient Acceptance Status

When a staff member selects "Provider not accepting new patients", the provider's profile is updated that they are not accepting new patients at that location.

Future sending staff are warned that the provider is not accepting new patients and will likely chose another provider to send the referral to.

Upon decline for this specific reason, an email confirmation is sent to the office manager(s) as a safeguard against an inaccurate decline reason selection.

If a change was made in error, office admins can always add update the patient acceptance status for the provider.
