'Referral Fax Failed': What It Means & What To Do Next

If you support a provider or office that sends referrals, you'll likely see a label appear on a referral in your Requires Review tab at some point that says "Referral Fax Failed".

What this means is that par8o has attempted to fax the referral and related documents to the recipient three times without success. This can happen for a number of reasons: the fax line has a busy signal, someone didn't manually switch an all-in-one system over to receive faxes, or it's a wrong number.

What To Do When You See the Referral Fax Failed Label

  1. Click Select Action or More Actions.
  2. Select Resend Fax.
  3. Review the fax information. If necessary, update the fax number by clicking Edit Fax Number, entering the fax number and clicking Save.
  4. When you're ready to resend the fax, click Send.
